Let's talk EASY breakfast.
My mornings are busy, I have a seven year old who is always reading, therefor we’re usually running late for school. Between my husband’s coffee, making eggs for Adrian and unloading a dishwasher I find the time to craft brain shakes practically everyday. Over the years I’ve gone through phases, and this one thus far is my favorite, I hope you enjoy it.
Everyone has their way… their favorite this or that… one of my favorite nut milks is coconut, which is low in sugar, yet high in fiber, manganese, and medium-chain triglycerides, (pure brain goodness!) which are healthy fats that are easily used by the brain and body for energy. Cherries contain anthocyanins, which are linked to improving memory. My husband got me hooked on green tea powder, which contains L-Theanine, an amino acid that is associated with alertness, and relaxation. (I need both.)
I love Goji berries (acquired taste) they’re a powerful antioxidant that assists our bodies produce Choline.
Flax seeds provide essential omega-3s -- we can always use those! Chia seeds provide some protein, and fiber to keep your blood sugar stable. Bulletproof Collagelatin -- because I can never get enough of this… I just think about supporting my skin and bones everyday!!

Lane's Brain Power Shake
1 tbsp flax seeds
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp goji berries
1/2 cup frozen organic cherries
1/4 cup frozen organic raspberries
3/4 tsp matcha green tea powder
1 scoop of Bulletproof Collagelatin
1-2 Tbsp Brain Octane
1 cup organic coconut full fat milk
3-4 drops of Stevia or your favorite sweetener -- keep to a minimum.
Drop all ingredients into your favorite blender and blend until smooth!
